Sunraku (Sanraku) / Rakuro Hizutome, Hizutome Rakurō)
The protagonist Rakuro is a huge fan of "trash games" and has even amassed a whole collection of them. His performance is influenced by his mood. His game alias Sunraku is partly derived from his real name, with "Sun" replacing "Hizu," which means sun.
Shangri-La Frontier is a Japanese online serial novel by Katarina, which has been published since 2017. A manga adaptation of the story has been published since 2020 and translated into German, among other languages. An anime adaptation followed from 2023 to 2025. The story tells of a gamer who actually prefers to master particularly bad computer games, but now tries out Shangri-La Frontier, a highly praised game. He is enthusiastic about the game, can apply the skills he has acquired through years of training, and meets many old and new friends.
