Lord of the Rings: Cave Troll - Mini Statue - 16 cm
"The authentic reproductions of props and collectibles were designed by the same artists from Weta who also worked on the three films"
Driven to the brink of madness by the relentless lash of his loathsome Orc overseers, a Cave Troll stomped forth, a brute of dull mind but imbued with the strength of a legion.
Its hide was near impenetrable to weapons forged of iron, a testament to the unyielding nature of the dark places of the world it inhabited. In its colossal three-fingered grasp was a mighty stone hammer, a fearsome instrument of destruction wielded with blind fury.
The Cave Troll was the first creature designed for the iconic film trilogy, and Weta Workshop sculptor Jamie Beswarick played a key role in its creation. In those early days, the look of the inhabitants of Middle-earth was still being defined, and artists were encouraged to imagine not only their appearance, but also their habits and history. This approach aimed to develop a level of authenticity that went beyond the typical fantasy genre.
Consequently, these lumbering giants were endowed with thick hides, three-fingered hands, powerful jaws, and claws suitable for digging. Jamie Beswarick was once again to recreate these characteristic features, this time in miniature form. By capturing the raw power and savagery of such a creature, and infusing every detail with unbridled anger and rage, our incredible team succeeded in capturing the essence of this monster.
