Unlike the spindly battle droids, whose humanoid design gives them a certain versatility, Droidekas are designed for a single function: the complete annihilation of their targets. At the ends of their heavy arms are massive twin blasters that unleash destructive energy in rapid succession. The destroyer droid can fully envelop itself in a protective energy sphere using its compact deflector shield generators, albeit at the cost of its mobility. Although slow and clumsy on its three legs, the Droideka can transform into a much faster, disc-shaped form.
