Aragorn
Aragorn was born to Arathorn and Gilraen in Eriador. After the death of his father two years later, Gilraen brought Aragorn to Rivendell, where he grew up and was raised by Elrond. In Rivendell, he was called "Estel" (Sindarin/Quenya: Hope). His true name was kept secret. When Aragorn turned 20, Elrond revealed his true name and the associated duties and destinies. He also received Barahir's Ring and the shards of Narsil. At this time, he met Elrond's daughter Arwen for the first time and fell in love with her.
